One of the cheaper clothing items I bought in this China is this striped top + skirt combo for 29 RMB; which is around $6 CAD, crazy right?! I didn’t have a chance to wear it when I was on vacation, so when I saw the sun out to stay on a fine Vancouver weekend, I had to pull it out. You can’t try on these cheap clothes in the fitting room in Asia, so I was hoping it would fit and I was glad it did.
There are a lot of areas that sell trendy clothing at the wholesale price before shipping them off to the main stores/warehouse. You can find Forever 21 or H&M style clothes for a fraction of their price! I don’t normally buy dresses in Vancouver since I rarely wear them so why spend on them? However, $6 for this top and skirt is probably one of the best deals I have ever gotten clothing-wise. This two piece top consists of a crop tank top with braided cord that gives it a nautical feel; and the second piece is the knee length skirt. I can mix and match with different top and bottoms but I decided to wear them together anyway; though at first I thought all the stripes were daunting at first. The material is surprisingly comfortable and slimming as well. I also felt a bit more ladylike in this outfit hah!
Because I’m constantly afraid of the cold, I am wearing my pale pink leather jacket I got from Zara last year; this is quite thin which is good enough against wind but it will definitely be too much when it gets hotter. Throwing on this structured leather jacket made my look a wee bit professional, yes?
Wearing:
Jacket: Zara (similar colour from Just Female)| Dress: unknown store in Guangzhou (similar here)| Sandals: old store (similar here from Frye)
I’ll have a full clothing haul blog post once I sort everything out and find a space to photograph the clothing!
