I’m back in Vancouver and catching up with all your comments and ALL the blog readings to do. One of the highlights of my Hong Kong – Guangzhou trip is a visit to the Imperial Palace Hotspring & Resort, located in Zijin County which is approximately a 4 hour drive from Guangzhou. I got to experience sitting in different hot springs and stayed in a Bali villa guest room.
Imperial Palace Hotspring & Resort is HUGE and I regret not taking pictures of the public hot spring area (but then I didn’t want to risk dropping my electronics in water,) and apart from regular hot spring pools, I also relaxed in a milk pool, a red wine pool, and tried out the Turkey Fishy Treatment pool where fishes eat the dead skin off of you. There’s also a green tea hot spring and peppermint hot spring, but I ran out of time trying those ones….because I went to get a Bali Style Massage at the Dewi Sri Spa (#firstworldproblems.) The massage was super relaxing and the masseuse’s hands felt like a machine, with the strength spread out evenly in her hands.
I stayed in the Bali style guest room which has a private hot spring pool in the back. When I first entered it, the room blew me away already. I love this kind of beds with the canopy and it was my first time sleeping in one like that. My camera couldn’t catch the whole frame (really need a wide angle lens now that I think about it…) but there’s a giant TV (60 inches?) in front of this bed as well. Not to mention, the hot water from the shower uses water from the hot spring as well.
Here I am, at the back of the Bali style guest room my boyfriend and I stayed at. In front of me is the private hot spring pool and there’s also a wooden bed to relax on. As the weather was TOO hot and the spring water was also too hot to sit in, of course I decided it was time to take some pictures! I am wearing a dress that Orb Clothing kindly sent to me, the Viola- sleeveless empire waist dress. This dress is so lightweight and comfortable; perfect for walking under the scorching heat. The light green and blue contrast stands out and accentuates the body’s natural curves. I also love the asymmetrical length of the skirt part.
After this one night visit at the Imperial Palace Hotspring & Resort, I want to go to Bali even more now. I’m sure it’ll be one hella relaxing trip as I was super charged up from the massage and lying around in the hot spring pools. My favourite was definitely the Turkey Fishy Treatment, because my feet definitely needed to be exfoliated.
