I seem to never get enough sleep nowadays (not because I’m playing Hearthstone late into the night *ahem*) and my skin loves letting me know by giving me a dull complexion in the morning and the random outbreak of pimples on my forehead. So tell me a product with the word “luminous” and you got my attention, such as the Lise Watier Teint Lumière Luminous Foundation.
Lise Watier Teint Lumière Luminous Foundation is infused with Diamond Lumière Complex, which light reflective pigments that provides a diamond like effect, optically, and adds photoluminescence your complexion. The Teint Lumière’s formula proclaims to feel like a second skin and provides ultra-light and buildable coverage. It also has SPF 15, which is great as the sun is coming out every day now!
The foundation is packaged into this gorgeous, frosty thick glass bottle that resembles something you would hold a serum in. There is a dropper that releases the foundation. It does get kind of messy as you can see, the foundation is kind of covering everywhere? Luckily I haven’t spilled any yet!
The formula is very liquid-y and yes, extremely build-able; I consider this foundation to be sheer to medium coverage. I only need 2-3 drops for my whole face; although the bottle holds only 26 mL of product (which is pretty little comparing to other high end foundations,) this is going to last me for a very long time. I usually need double or triple the amount for other foundations or tinted moisturizers to cover my face.
There are a total of 8 shades in this line; I’m currently using shade 6. As you can see, this shade is a lot darker when swatched on my arm, but when it’s blended on my face, you really can’t tell. Wonder if I got darker…?
I usually use my hands to blend in my foundation because #lazygirlproblems, however, the Perfecting Foundation Brush kind of changed that. This brush is as fluffy as a rabbit’s furry tail and packed densely into a kabuki shape. I add 2-3 drops onto the brush directly and just buff it on my skin for an airbrushed effect.
I wore the foundation at 7am before going to work and took a picture of me again when I came home. (The lighting is different since it was taken at different times, also, my hair got SUPER flat by the end of the day and it was too hot to wear my sweater anymore.) My skin looked pretty much the same the whole day. Additionally, I took a shower with my foundation on (by accident!) and I used toner on my face after and there were still traces of foundation on it. I’d like to say that Teint Lumière has a bit of water resistance properties too. 😉
Overall, I am adoring this foundation and have been using it daily. My skin doesn’t dry out at all and it makes my skin looks better. The Lise Watier Teint Lumière retails for $39 CAD and you can find it at Shoppers Drug Mart or London Drugs.
