Skinny jeans are my holy grail, but sometimes I just get some itches from too-tight spots at some funny angle. I was recently introduced to the brand NYDJ where they use some magical technology to make skinny jeans (and any other jeans) comfortable.
Coloured denim was a huge trend a few years back, and though it’s not as big now (or is it??) I still like to add some colour to my bottoms when I am sporting a neutral top. I have way too many white/black/grey shirts and sweaters; it’s like I’m eternally stuck in winter.
NYDJ has a slimming technology, the “Lift-Tuck Technology,” so you can order jeans that are one size smaller. The rise of the jeans sits a bit above the natural waist, which provides comfort…cause *hello to waists expanding as we eat!* What I am most intrigued about is their universal fit, so that you can order that one size for every style of NYDJ pants, such as jean leggings or skinny jeans. I have ran into many problems in some stores where I purchase one size for a pair of jeans, and if I purchase another style from the same store, the size differs. I have varied between four different jean sizes in the past few years.
I am most interested in the coloured jeans as I find that they are a bit tricky to pull off; they need to be slim on me, otherwise my legs look like tree trunks. Any slight bagginess and my height immediately shrinks. The Sheri Skinny in Rouge caught my eye as it is the perfect bottom for the summer.
I usually don’t wear ankle jeans, but I’d throw on a pair sandals and jeans in Bluebell and call it day. There are 12 shades of jeans for this style so it’s kind of impossible to not find your favourite colour.
By the way Canadians, you can actually find NYDJ jeans at The Hudson’s Bay! I have been cycling through the same pairs of jeans for years now, and as denim does last for a pretty long time, I’m planning to hop in store to try them on. Do you struggle to find denim that fits?
