The Lipsies Lip Balm from Annabelle Cosmetics may be the next cute and scrumptious companion in your purse. I carry no less than 3 or 4 lip products in my purse, and there’s always a niche for a tinted lip balm.
Annabelle Cosmetics launched 12 Lipsies Lip Balms ($4.95 each) in 12 different scents from fruity to sweet (there’s a lychee one I’d love to take a whiff at.) I had a chubby crayon lip product phase last year then switched back to lipsticks. These tinted lip balms made me feel a bit nostalgic about my other chubby lipsticks, PLUS their packaging is pretty retro eh? They kind of remind me a bit of like a juice box packaging?
Coco-Vanilla is colourless and has a light vanilla scent, whereas Cherry reminds me of cherry blasters candy (yum!) and has a dark pink finish. Though the Lipsies Lip Balm have a tasteless formula, I still taste a bit of that typical lip balm after taste that I wouldn’t want to have while I eat my food. For a tinted lip balm, Cherry’s pigmentation is pretty darn good!

The balms form a nice buttery layer over my lips after 2-3 swipes, and I don’t feel the need to freshen up until two hours later. The Cherry did look weird over dry patches on my lips, but using the Coco-Vanilla under the Cherry, it worked a bit better (or I could have scrubbed my lips.) Overall, they work decently well and worth the price point…I’ve seen more expensive lip balms nowadays so I’m fairly happy about the price tag along with range of colours Annabelle has. I foresee using the Coco-Vanilla more, as a) it’s clear, b) I don’t need a mirror to apply, and c)it just smells so good!

Have you tried the Annabelle Lipsies? Do you prefer your tinted lip balms to be more sheer or pigmented?
