Just because Valentine’s passed doesn’t mean we can’t have kiss ready lips! Lise Watier just released the Baiser Velours collection- 9 different shades of velvet liquid lipstick that delivers intense coverage with a smooth, matte finish. Let’s see if my approval will be sealed with a kiss…
Hope you all had a great Valentine’s weekend, doing something you love! I spent most of it watching an anime, Parasyte, with my boyfriend, which is about humans being taken over by parasites by having their brains eaten out and they feed on humans and trying to become part of society..hows that for romantic eh? 😉
Back to a more lovey ambience…. so far in my books, no one does liquid lipsticks like Lise Watier…remember when I reviewed the Feline Velvet Lip Lacquer? The formula for the Baiser Velours velvet liquid lipstick is similar; intense pigmentation, creamy application, and a matte finish. The Baiser Velours come in a sleek, gunmetal case. The lipstick wand has a flexible applicator so it makes it easy to apply along the lip line (however, it always seem I can NEVER perfectly line my mouth…#ChubbyLipProblems.)
One swipe gives you full on POW of colour. Don’t even bother layering, these are rich in pigment…pretty sure if I wore it my boyfriend could spot me across the room. These definitely amplified my lips…and I love that perfect clean, matte finish. Glossy finishes make my lips look swollen, whereas the velvet liquid lipsticks minimizes the drama but still adds some oomph?
Also, these last pretty much all day long. Though the Baiser Velours aren’t transfer proof (gave a good smooch to my boyfriend, then I spent 30 seconds trying to wipe it off, didn’t fully finish cleaning it but he never noticed and when I drank I saw the imprint of my lips on the glass,) the colour didn’t look like it faded at all. My lips didn’t need any reapplication until it hit the 4 hour mark; I did feel a bit dry after half an hour, so I just dabbed a bit of balm on and it was fine. The colour only faded a bit when I showered with the lipstick still on. This is a stay all day liquid lipstick; and best of all, it didn’t end up on my two front teeth!
The three colours I’m showcasing are Passion Kiss, Love Kiss, and Party Kiss. Passion Kiss is a deep magenta, Party Kiss is a coral, and Love Kiss is a bright pink. (Yup, they’re all named after kisses!)

These liquid lipsticks are getting my approval! I love how striking they are; I don’t even want to really put on extra makeup after wearing Baiser Velours (awesome name too!) Lise Watier’s Baiser Velours are available for purchase at London Drugs, The Bay for $27 each. What’s your kiss colour?
