Ever since the discovery of Lush bath bombs, I have been addicted! It’s super relaxing after a day of work to sit in something hot and fizzy. Plus, having a waterproof cell phone means I can Netflix and soak in a moisturizing bath and relax. For the Christmas season, Lush came out with a selection of fun holiday themed bath bombs that your skin will love and keep you entertained in the tub. When I went to Pacific Centre’s Lush to celebrate their opening, I got to take home a few Lush goodies to try.
Dashing Santa Bath Bomb: I didn’t get a proper picture as this was the first one I tried, but I did snap a shot before it met its demise in the water. When dropped into the bath, the yellow bits were first to fizz away and there was a light, sweet citrusy scent. I looked online later to figure out the scents; there is a Satsuma-scented aroma made up of mandarin, bergamot, and orange absolute.

Candy Mountain: If you love heaps of bubbles in your bubble bath, then go ahead and throw this in your water. If you have a bigger tub, even better! This is THE bubble bath I always wanted as kid, but never got. It has a sweet vanilla scent and almost an endless supply of bubbles. I recommend you breaking Candy Mountain into 2-3 baths; I wanted to crush it under the hot water for testing purposes 😛 .

Star Light Star Bright: This is a bath melt (so no fizzing and bubbliness) and once this is in the water, just like the Snow Angel, your skin feels buttery instantly. That film of hydration that forms on my skin is so slippy and slidey, so don’t stand up abruptly in your bath tub since you might fall down! The silver sparkles is spread out in the bathtub when it touches water, and under it reveals a white bar with some kind of blue jelly inside. Star Light Star Bright contains organic shea butter and extra virgin olive oil. The water turns into a pool of turquoise and glitter; so pretty! It also has a more zesty, citrusy smell since there are lime oil and ginger oil fragrances in it. Keep in mind that the glitter remains in the tub and on the skin too, so you might have to do an extra rinse unless you don’t mind finding the occasion glitter in a random spot on your body/clothes!
Snow Angel: This one is part bath melt, part bath bomb! that has the same slippery, slidey, buttery effect as Star Light Star Bright. Rather than a zesty scent, Snow Angel is sweeter smelling as it uses marzipan fragrance! This smells so Christmas-y! When it’s in water, the white part fizzes up, hence the part bath bomb. There is also an explosion of glitter that will happen when it’s used.
Soaking in an awesome bath is one of the ways I like to pamper myself. This is the first time I’ve tried the bath melts from Lush and I definitely see myself repurchasing in the future. These bath bombs and melts make great stocking stuffers or little add-ons to gifts!
