I’m sure most of you have heard of the brand Wet N’ Wild and think about their affordable yet amazing eyeshadow palettes. Wet N’ Wild has launched a new app on iPhone and Android (free!) called “Steal the Look” where users can upload a picture of a look they want to steal, and the app will suggest products to recreate that look.
The CBB (Canadian Beauty Blogger) brand of the month is Wet N’ Wild and their new app came out in good timing! In the Steal the Look app, you upload a picture of a look you want to steal, and then simply tap the lip colour, upper eyelid colour, and crease colour and the app will bring up a list of products to complete that look. The app is extremely easy to use and when I first tried it out, the first thought I had was to steal look of cosplays I would do. My friend always wanted to do a Johanna Mason of The Hunger Games cosplay (and I did want to do Katniss Everdeen wedding dress cosplay) so I uploaded this picture of Johanna into the Steal the Look app. I zoomed on the parts of her face, ie. the lip, tapped it, and the colour is reflected into the screen.
After selecting the lip, and eye colours, the suggested products come up. (My iPhone 4S screen is too small to screenshot everything 🙁 )
The products suggested were the Mega Slick Lip Gloss in Bronze Berry, Color Icon Eye Shadow Trio, Color Icon Eye Shadow Collection in Comfort Zone, and Mega Liner Liquid Eyeliner in Black. This is the finished look I recreated using those products!
In the “I’m Getting Sunburned” eyeshadow trio, I used the crease colour to extend my brows towards my nose and on the under eye, and the eyelid colour for, they eyelid and around the edge of the top of my brows, and the inner corner of my eyes. For the “Comfort Zone” palette, I used the browbone colour on my browbone and the centre of my nose. The definer colour was used at the outer corner of my lids and blended into the middle. The lip gloss in Bronze Berry didn’t have enough bronze in it to match the lip colour, but it did have the frosty finish. I also used the Mega Impact mascara to make my lashes longer and since I didn’t have crazy false lashes, I used liquid liner to draw some lines underneath my eye.
