Jet set into Fall with Revlon by joining me in…London (makeup wise of course, though if I got to a ticket to go there I wouldn’t hesitate!) Revlon Canada must be psychic to know that London is one of my favourite cities and can show you guys how to create a London inspired city look! I received a set of Colorstay products from Revlon Canada to create a “London Lady” look- and one of you lucky readers will be able to win the same set too, just by Following & Liking my picture on Instagram.
For Fall, Revlon put together 5 different sets of makeup inspired by cities such as Stockholm, and New York. I never thought to think of “face of the days” based on locations, and the set Revlon sent me also comes with a booklet of the other makeup looks, which I will try around to recreate for fun!
The London Lady look is a combination of a smokey eye with a natural lip. When I think of London, I think how timeless the city is is and this look totally suits it! The first eye shadow look I learnt was the smoky eye, and to bring that classic eye look with nude lips was something I haven’t done in a while. I usually stay away from greys since my hair is so dark and covers my face a lot, usually a smoky eye would just drown the rest of my face out. Let’s hope I didn’t create a makeup disaster!!! To create this look, I used:
- Revlon Colorstay ShadowLinks in Onyx and Gunmetal
- Revlon Colorstay Skinny Liquid Liner in Blackout
- Revlon Bold Lacquer Mascara in Blackest Black
- Revlon Colorstay Moisture Stain in London Posh
- Revlon Colorstay Gel Envy nail polish in High Stakes, All or Nothing, and Diamond Top Coat
All the Revlon Colorstay Moisture Stains I have tried were rich, standout colours (such as Barcelona Nights and New York Scene,) whereas London Posh is a frosty, peachy colour. I kept my smokey eye a bit less dramatic, just by using Onyx in the crease and Gunmetal at the outer corner. I’ve been using the Revlon liquid liner in lieu of my usual eyeliner, it stays all day on my eyes and it’s very tiny tip gives really precise lines! The Bold Lacquer mascara fared ok- my lashes didn’t look significantly longer nor voluminous. Lastly, I just painted my nails solid colour, and that’s me holding my Tardis mug for some extra British vibes!!!
I am hosting a contest where one of you can win the exact same set of Revlon Colorstay products, complete with a booklet of the makeup look and a postcard to send a friend. The contest is open to Canadian residents only, 18 years and older.
