OOTD: Day to Night

Whaat? A non-makeup post? Yep, I will try to throw in a few fashion posts now and here on ze blog! A while ago, I met up with Walking Talking Style to walk, talk, and take pictures of style. I have a habit of dressing down at work and then dressing up after by changing things up a bit. Check it out below!

I dress pretty casual during the day. One of my favourite tops to wear with jeans, skirts, shorts is a black bodycon top from Dynamite. It has a 3/4 sleeve and it is my bread and butter of outfit matching. For my daytime look, I am wearing a simple blue skinny jeans from Hollister and a rose acrylic sweater cardigan from Forever 21. Sweater cardigans are heaven-sent; they are always great to throw on when you’re cold and you wear a lot of layers underneath to stay cozy. Needless to say, I have too many and can’t wait to take them out for fall! And…although everything is casual, I did wear a fancier pair of footwear; a pair of black ballet flats from Michael Kors with little bows on them…too adorable! I’ve seen similar styles from Marc Jacobs and Salvatore Ferragamo,

For my “night” time look (I know it’s not technically dark outside, but if I was going to any event/dinner after work, this is how I style) I simple switched from the jeans to this peach pleated skirt I bought from Primark in London last year. Primark is like the Forever 21 of North America, BUT EVEN MORE AFFORDABLE! You would think everything in Europe is more expensive, but this skirt was around $8 I believe? I’ve also tossed this skirt into the washing machine many times and it comes out with perfect looking pleats still! (This is also the skirt I wore to stalk Daniel Radcliffe after his play, so it has a lot of meaning to me *please don’t judge.*)

And because it was chilly/cloudy in Vancouver, I also had an extra lightweight jacket packed with me. This is actually my mom’s jacket and she has some pretty stylish stuff that I like to borrow. My other accessories, that are same in my day look, are Olive & Piper Blue Iridescent Drop earrings, a gold & necklace that I made, and my 3.1 Phillip Lim x Target bag (previously featured here.) Mustard yellow and peach go somewhat together, it’s fun to mix bright colours on a cloudy day!
