Hi hi I’m back on the blog from camping! One skincare product I really love but not use enough is exfoliators. At night I just want to crawl into bed and skip the routine. Now, I try to implement it in the morning by using gentle exfoliators, such as the Aeveka Repairing Micro Scrub, which I got to try recently.
Aeveka Skincare is an organic, vegan line that is made in USA and their products are deemed as “food for your skin.” Forget about chemicals, Aeveka uses natural and organic ingredients in all their products. I’m usually not the one who goes out and hunt for organic skincare but I have been trying to purchase more healthy-skin conscious brands such as Origins. Unfortunately, Aeveka is currently available in the US, so unless you’re planning to cross the border to your US mailbox, obtaining this brand may be a bit tricky.
The Repairing Micro Facial Scrub ($39.95 for 2.0 oz) is a a very gentle exfoliator that contains finely granulated Aluminum Oxide Crystals that helps bring “new, youthful, renewed skin to the surface.” It also contains other bonuses such as organic aloe vera, which acts as an antibacterial agent to soothe tired and dehydrated skin; organic sweet almond oil that calm irritated skin and it possess anti-inflammatory properties such as moisturizing and nourishing the skin. It also packs organic shea butter (my skin loooooves shea) that treats blemishes and imperfections, as well as providing deep moisture to the skin. There is a light citrus scent when I used the scrub, and that is due to the organic sweet orange oil and sweet orange fruit oil in it.
The instructions state to apply the product in a gentle circular motion for 3 minutes and to use it once every 2 to 4 weeks. I’ve been guilty of using this around twice a week since it’s so gentle! I don’t think I can go so long to not exfoliate my face.

My conclusion…the exfoliating crystals are so micro that it doesn’t “hurt” my skin nor does it make it go red after I use it on my face. I can easily spread this to cover the whole surface area of my face. After using the micro scrub, my face is noticeably smoother so it makes me feel good I scraped those dead skin cells off my face as I put some toner/serum/moisturizer on the new skin cells. I also really like the idea of a pump mechanism since I noticed that it saves me a few sections of time, whereas squeeze tubes could end in crusty stuff around its opening. I can’t say that my skin looked brightened, but it it’s a low priority for me. Lastly. it is a bit expensive for 2 oz- you can get Clarins One Step- Gentle- Facial- Exfoliating Facial Cleanser at $36 for 4.4 oz. Residents outside of US who are interested in this product will face some inconvenience to purchase it since you will need a PO box and get down there, so you may just want to find another local organic skincare product.

Are there any organic skincare lines you use/would recommend?
