I’m a dork almost all the time, I need to stay warm so I may carry an extra cardigan in my bag, I need an umbrella, I need a hot water bottle, and some painkillers incase I get a headache in the middle of the sidewalk. Sometimes I carry those toe cushions to stick on my feet when they get tired from walking aroud in flats. Luckily, today’s outfit helps me stay warm but still look summery, and I’m able to carry my non typical essentials.
My friend Walking Talking Style took these photos of me when we were trying to hop around different cafes in Vancouver. There’s a lot I haven’t been to so it felt like I was rediscovering Vancouver again. There are some notable places I want to try out such as Nelson the Seagull, Greenhorn, or Matchstick Coffee Roasters. I need to crawl out of my Richmond hole more.
I’m still on an ultimate leather jacket hunt, but for now, this Forever 21 faux leather jacket does well. It keeps me decently warm during the day and is versatile to wear with different outfits. Best of all, it was affordable…compared to a real leather jacket ;_; I paired my jacket with these distressed jeans I bought from the Levi’s outlet store. I’m a bit of an impatient shopper so I just grabbed what I thought would fit me and bought it (#shopaholicProblems), so it’s not as skinny as I hoped it would be. That being said, it’s also comfortable to not have denim squishing my flesh all day just to look good.
PS: These pictures are pre-haircut so I didn’t cut my bangs longer 😉
Looking at my closet, the tops that I purchased in the past couple years are as plain as a long john donut without the chocolate glaze. Rather than being tempted to buy a bunch of cutesy new tops, I’ve been looking around for statement accessories. Lately, blue accessories and clothing have been attracting my attention; so when I saw this necklace from the J. Crew outlet in Seattle, my hand just had to grab it and plop it inside my shopping bag.
And I know I just wrote in the above paragraph that I have a lot of plain shirts (sooo many single coloured V-necks,) but I paired the blue-gold necklace with this white bohemian peasant blouse from Abercrombie & Fitch. It has fine, gold floral detailing on it and I thought the tassels were adorable. Sadly, one of them has fallen off and I have no skills to fix it…I might just cut the other one off, add beads, and tie a knot? I enjoy doing crafts but I have no idea how to make old clothes better.
This leather and straw crossbody bag was purchased from Kate Spade in London last year. Why did I buy an American brand from Europe..? My shopaholic tendencies overcame me; that day my other friends went to a Hugh Laurie concert. Since I wasn’t a fan, we decided to meet up after the concert and I will be casually hanging out at the mall near our flat. They came back and found me hands full of shopping bags; one them including this bag. And this bag, though not that big and quite flat, could pack quite a plenty.
These sandals were from the Nine West outlet at Seattle Premium Outlets and they were such a good deal for $29.90! Extremely comfy and made of leather.
