I normally am not a fan of heart shaped things as it gives me flashbacks of my lame high school days. But this Too Faced Sweethearts Perfect Flush Blush is just way too gorgeous to not add to my collection! This just fueled my obsession for cute packaging + tri coloured blushes. I went bold and picked up the brightest blush in their range- Something About Berry.

Extremely long overdue review of this adorable blush!
This is the first Too Faced product I have ever owned; this may or may not be fixed depending on how much makeup I can use (probably never.) There are three colours in the Sweethearts Perfect Flush Blush line; Candy Glow (rose pink shimmer/soft coral pink/peachy pink shimmer), Peach Beach (shimmering peach/rosy pink/shimmering light golden), and last but not least, Something About Berry (shimmering mauve pink/ golden peach/ shimmering magenta pink.) Helllo pretty!
This blush called out to me like a tiramisu in after a three course meal. One taste of this blush and I wanted more of it on my face. Did I mention, this is a baked blush as well? I love the creamy texture of baked makeup products and they last for the whole day without the need of a primer. There is a soft, Puffs kleenex-like feel of this Too Faced blush. This baked dessert should last me at least 2 years!
Most of the blushes I wear needs 3-5 dabs to have a flushy- colour payoff, however, the shimmering magenta pink is heavily pigmented so you only really need so little to achieve that perfect flush. Usually I choose blushes that are toned down in the shimmer, and when I first looked at Something About Berry’s palette it was very shimmery. However, with a thirst for makeup adventure, I tried it in store first and noticed that the shimmer does not overpower the colours.

The first two swatches (from the left) is the shimmering magenta pink; the first one is a lighter version, and the second swatch is how it looks like as you build up the colour. The middle swatch is the golden peach, and last is shimmering mauve pink.
I apply the blush using Sephora Pro Precision Blush Brush #73. A trick I use us to hold two fingers to the edge of my nose (beside my nostril) and start blending up my cheekbones from there. I like to swirl all three colours onto a brush or use a combination of two colours, then pat the brush at the edge of the heart pan to get rid of excess product. The finished look- an illuminating finish that sits on my cheeks the whole day. So berry pretty.
I am in love with the Too Faced Sweethearts Perfect Flush Blush! The heart shaped pan is a winner and kudos to whoever designed this. It’s not especially compact to carry around as it’s chunky and doesn’t have a mirror, but the formula simply deserves an A+. Unfortunately, it is quite pricey in Canada, $38 CAD- USA Sephora has it for $30 USD (I always try to make a stop at Sephora when I go cross border shopping) and there’s a sale on Amazon
right now for $27.95!
Are there other multi coloured blushes you love? Any other Too Faced products I must try?
