Hooray for sunny weather…though the presence of sunshine in Vancouver does not mean its warm! I’ve been bulking up everyday, but today was a bit warmer so I didn’t need to wear a thick jacket with me. As I was cleaning up my closet, I realized that I have a lot of black and grey clothing. I have a few clothes are vibrant in colour so I decided to be less dull in my outfit of choice today.
I bought this marled grey cardigan from Hong Kong. It’s very warm and versatile to match with mostly anything. A cardigan that allows me to wear several layers of clothes is an essential piece in my wardrobe. I own mostly thin cardigans that can only warm me up so far, and this one is my coziest one. There were actually buttons sewn on the cardigan too, though there are no button holes. Eventually I had to unsew them because they were on the verge of falling; and instead of fixing each one, I just decided to take them all off!
This red V-neck sweater from Gap is keeps me warm and is long enough to wear with leggings! It also makes a good layering piece.
Another essential wardrobe accessory is a long, thick scarf. I bought this checkered scarf, also in Hong Kong, and I love the pastel colours on it. Pink and green isn’t a combination that I see all the time, and they’re actually a great match for each other! What I like about wearing a long scarf is that there are different ways to style it.
