Couple weeks ago on November 16th, Leonidas at Waterfront was having their 2nd anniversary party and I was invited to go and indulge in Belgian chocolate!
Upon arrival, we were greeted with drinks such as wines, teas, or lattes. I got a Belgian dark hot chocolate made with 52% cocoa and it was so creamy and delicious! Sorry to all white/milk chocolate lovers, but I’m a dark chocolate fan.
Leonidas chocolates are made from 100% cocoa butter; the company definitely focuses on quality over quantity. I had chocolate coma after several pieces and I can walk away saying that it was some of the best chocolate I ever tasted!
Orange + chocolate can go either way; I’ve had disappointing ones and I’ve had mediocre ones; these orangettes from Leonidas were delicious and I gobbled a couple of them down.

Who could say no to chocolate coated strawberries?!

These sugar free chocolates won my heart that night. They did not taste sugar free at all; very rich in flavour. I highly recommend this if you’re looking for chocolate but also wary of your sugar intake.
Last but not least, macarons! These macarons are made by Chef Paulin Calot, whom I have met before, and these macarons are one of the best I’ve had in Vancouver. They’re authentic, not too sweet, and chock full of flavour.
I had a great time having chocolate and sweets for dinner. Leonidas also has gelato, Belgian waffles, and other sweets. Thank you Leonidas for throwing a great anniversary party!
