I’m a huge sucker for hair products that claims to make your hair shiny and smooth and all that stuff that every product claims to bring life to your locks. When Shoppers was having a sale in May, I bought these two products- L’Oreal EverCreme Nourishing Leave In Spray and L’Oreal EverPure Moisture Deep Restorative Masque. These two products have changed my hair routine now.
I have used many L’Oreal products, such as their shampoos with pearl, argan oil, colour radiance but I prefer their sulfate free products because I notice more difference. L’Oreal’s sulfate free products have different lines to them, such as EverPure and EverCreme. The sulfate free products are more expensive even when on sale ($6.99-$8.99 vs $3.99 for the other L’Oreal hair products). Back in May there was a sale at Shoppers Drug Mart and I picked up these products that I now use consistently- L’Oreal EverCreme Nourishing Leave In Spray and L’Oreal EverPure Moisture Deep Restorative Masque.
The EverCreme Nourishing Leave In Spray contains camelina oil. Camelina oil contains a high level of antioxidants and omega-3 fatty acids. Omega-3 has many health benefits, and providing moisture to hair is one of them. This spray acts as a conditioning treatment that “restores lost moisture,” detangles, and smooths the hair. After washing hair (with shampoo + conditioner,) this product should be sprayed evenly over damp or wet hair.
I have used this product on both wet and dry hair. After my usual washing hair routine, I spray around 3-4 times around the top-middle of my head, and then several times on the ends of my hair. I mostly blow dry my hair after, and occasionally use my hair straightener. When my hair dries, my hair felt silky, and it looked shiny and straight. When I don’t wash my hair daily, the ends of my hair would be going everywhere. I would spray some of the product on the ends and comb it, and my hair would straighten itself out! The leave-in spray does some instant magic to my hair that I am quite pleased of. It’s also very lightweight (sometimes I use hair oils and my hair would feel a bit heavier,) and smells like a blend of vanilla and almonds.
I haven’t noticed any long term benefits, since when I don’t use the product, my hair would be normal again. Nevertheless, anytime I wash my hair I spritz this around and I don’t really bother adding any other products after. The bottle contains 250mL of product, and this will last me a long time.
The next product I have been using 2-3 times a week is the L’Oreal Paris EverPure Moisture Deep Restorative Masque. This product is meant for coloured hair and it acts as an intensive treatment for dry, damaged hair. I wouldn’t say my hair damaged, but it was getting tangled extremely easy and I noticed I had a lot of split ends. I also dyed my hair by myself for fun a couple months ago and the colour was looking dull. I didn’t use this product until I came back from London (where my hair felt knotted and dried everyday), and I noticed an instant change after using it.
The masque has quite a strong herbal smell (rosemary and mint) which could be appealing to some, but not to everyone. I, myself, like the scent so I didn’t find it a problem- but I wouldn’t hold it close to my nose for a long period of time. After rinsing my hair, the scent is still present, but less strong. For some reason, more people realize that there is colour in my hair after I started using this product- though I’m not sure if its thanks to this, or the sun is out more often now. Either way, my hair feels soft and great! In the container, there is 150 mL of product and I do use this one a lot faster. I plan to try different masques of L’Oreal’s Ever_____ lines.
In the beginning of June, my hair was constantly full of knots but after using these two products, my hair is easier to manage! I still use hair oils from time to time, but these products provide that lightweight feel which I prefer, since my head is full of thick hair. If you have tried any other products from L’Oreal, I’d love to hear what your opinion is!
