I’m going to a vintage themed Vancouver Dessert Festival, and attendees are encouraged to dress in the 1950’s era. I am also representing a blog of Vancouver- VancityBuzz, so I wanted to look sharp from head to toe. Thus, I painted my nails red- for the first time in my life. (THEY DID wear a lot of red back then, yeah?) I
I never bought red nail polish in my life, but my first Luxe Box came with a full sized bottle of China Glaze’s Go Crazy Red. I never thought I’d ever use it..until today.
There is a shimmer, and in the bottle I can see flecks of gold. When I applied it on my nails- it was so pigmented. 1-2 coats did it! I meay have bad skill, but I swear this colour was the hardest to apply ever on my nails! It looked like I had a massacre in my room!
Seriously, such a luxurious red. I think it lives up to its name- because it’s a gorgeous, crazy red. Not sure when I will find an occasion to wear red polish again, but I’m glad I finally have a chance to come out of my nail polish comfort zone!
Sorry for the mess of my nails in the picture! I hope that I can rub it off my skin in the shower later or use a Q-tip. I finished the red off with Seche Vite top coat!
Nails match perfectly with my new compact mirror! (Schiaparelli & Prada | Impossible Conversations mirror from The MET, New York- courtesy of jsleigh14)
I will post my whole vintage ensemble on Friday! 🙂 What do you think of these red nails?
