Yesterday I bought the Essie luxe effect nail polish on sale from Superstore for $7.97 and I decided to try it today!
First- I put a layer of Sally Hansen’s Nurturing Natural nail polish. I’ve had this for over a year now, bought it at Shoppers for $4.99 sometime in 2011. This is one of my favourite colors of my collection because it’s the perfect shade of natural + a tinge of pinkness for a nail’s healthy glow.The brush of the polish is excellent because it’s fat and flat, which fits my nails, since they’re pretty big.
Next, I added a layer of Essie’s Shine of the Times over and prayed the color would look well. What I love about it is that the luxe effect covers my numerous nail polish mistakes on my nails! Any uneveness is masked by Essie! The luxe effect nail polish has a bunch of light reflecting glitter pieces and it reflects hints of orange, yellow, green and blue.
It kind of looks like stained glass! I’m usually not into sparkly or bright nail polish- let me know what you think of this combo! A little part of me makes me think it looks too amateur, like this is what I would wear when I was 12.
