Earlier this year when Sephora had a 15% off sale, I purchased my first lipstick from NARS. I wanted a sheer color that can be worn everyday and the sales associate there showed me Roman Holiday! I loved it because it reminds me of Blair Waldorf from Gossip Girl.
The packaging is sleek and I get a good grip because the lipstick casing has a very matte-rubbery feel. The lid is very classy with NARS written around it.
It’s a very nice blushing pink color. The color is sheer if I glide it on 1-2 times, or it can be a Barbie pink color for more layers of lipstick. However, I am content of the subtle pink color after 2 glides!
It doesn’t dry out the lips. There is a bit of an odd makeup taste to it, but it leaves after a minute or two. Because of it’s sheerness, it only lasts 2-3 hours! Because I have dry lips, I have to exfoliate them + wear a lip balm underneath. It adds a bit of shine to the lipstick after.
Although it is a bit expensive ($30CAD, thank goodness I had a discount) I would repurchase when I’m done, (until Sephora brings out another discount.) Until then, I’m loving this color!
