After eating days of crappy park food in Disney World, I said I’d stay away from fried protein when I went to New York City. The only exception that deserved to be an exception was Fuku, a fried chicken shop that is part of the Momofuku chain. (I really wanted to go to Momofuku Ko, but given the price and USD to CAD exchange rate, it just wasn’t worth it. It is on my bucket list though, ever since it was mentioned in one of my favourite books, The Rosie Project.) I went to Momofuku Noodle in Toronto and I think I will continue to try different Momofuku’s in different cities! [Read more…]
With all the walking I’ve done in Disneyworld and all the walking I know that will happen in New York, I’d thought it would be essential to book a spa at New York City’s Lush Spa. If you’ve been on here before, you’d know I love using Lush products and I often use it at home as a treat. So of course I’d be down to have someone use a bunch of Lush products on me while feeling relaxed.
I’m back! This is probably the longest break I’ve gone from blogging and I’m feeling a bit more inspired after returning from my Disney World and New York trip. I still have thousands of photos to sift through, so bear with me in the speed of getting posts up! I used my vacation as an excuse to take a prolonged blogging break, as I felt a bit overwhelmed by things lately. Anyways, whatever, let’s take a trip down memory lane.
I stayed in two hotels that are part of The Library Hotel Collection in New York. The first one was Hotel Elysée at 60 E 54th St. This location is to the Uniqlo flagship store (does that help with choosing which hotel to stay at?) 😉
Omg, I finally got qualified for an Influenster Vox Box. It’s been a WHILE and I am happy and excited. I’m most familiar with Kat Von D eyeliners and I’ve heard REALLY good things about her lip products but never tried one. The Influenster VoxBox I received has the new Everlasting Lip Liner in the shade Lolita.
Everyone is like getting married these days, huh? I’ve been thinking of targeting my handmade jewelry to the wedding audience, as I’ve been making some bridesmaid jewelry here and there last year. I can use clay to make props, and my bits and pieces to make earrings, hair pieces, etc! Another idea that sprung to my mind are generic-y gifts that can be used as table decor, favours, or “will you become my bridesmaid” presents. I kept this in mind for my collaboration with eos to show how lip balms and lotions can be displayed creatively for this spring season.
