A few years ago, if you asked my friends to describe me, they’ll probably say “grandma.” In my early 20’s (yes I feel that old now,) I was the odd one out ordering hot water in restaurants and drinking tea at night, while everyone had great alcohol tolerance and didn’t get stomache pains like I did. I would have Tiger Balms and some kind of Chinese medicine oil in my purse (I still do,) for any ache or illness I’d get on the spot. Now, aromatherapy and essential oils are more widely used and I have no shame in offering my coworker some of my white chrysanthemum oil like offering my snacks. Essential oils have many benefits and I have three types of oils to share from Thursday Plantation: Tea Tree Oil, Lavender Oil, and Eucalyptus Oil! [Read more…]
Can you believe it’s almost fall?! We just started getting some legit good weather here and I can take out my short shorts, and in a few weeks it’ll be back to sweaters and boots again (though I’m not complaining about the boots part, can’t wait to take out my new Franco Sarto booties!) I’ve been playing with a few of Dior’s new fall 2016 collection; Skyline. Liquid liner is my go to, but I put that aside for awhile to test the Diorshow Waterproof Pro Liner.
Um, working out became a bit more $$ than I anticipated. Having a good sports bra, running shoes, and some cute workout gear….that stuff adds up! I wish I had a solid workout routine to share with you, but instead I’m just going to talk about my gym basics (minus my protein bars.)
Let’s face it, the chances of me owning a Burberry bag may be slim (I do rather buy new computer stuff or a trip to Harry Potter world,) but I can never get tired of Burberry makeup. I’ve tried a few of their other formulas and the Burberry Lip Velvet Lipsticks is a first for me! My lips are kind of flabby and round and the right matte lipstick really helps define the shape of my lips. Is Burberry up for that task?
Going to the gym has made me more lazy…I have a lot of exciting new posts coming up and it’s taking me a while for me to write my posts! Also working out has made me more self aware of what I’m eating. I’m very lucky to be situated in a workplace that is surrounded with a LOT of food options. Even when I bring lunch, I end up getting a soup/coffee/ice cream/croissant…I can’t help it! At home, my dinner is usually more healthy conscious, and usually…not as exciting. Fortunately, my family does the cooking and we all love a change in our meals once in a while. When Chefs Plate reached out about trying their meal-kit delivery service, I jumped on right away! My cooking skills are anything but amazing and they make it sound easy enough!
