I LOVE boxes of a specific brand and you can try miniature versions of their makeup products, without fully committing to a regular sized product. I rather spend $50 on a small box of blush, eyeliner, mascara etc vs a $31 mascara- makes sense right?! I received the blinc Box Discovery Collection a while back; I couldn’t thoroughly test these as I had eyelash extensions so I literally waited for my lashes to fall off before diving into the box.
Well, my blogging frequency has kind of declined in the past two weeks. My body’s been craving sleep but I think I managed to catch up on my rest and my healthy is back to normal-ish!
A few months ago I attended my first Dave Lackie event and got to take a backpack with some Clarins products. Up until that day, I have only ever used Clarins skincare products but not their makeup. I’ve read many posts about Clarins Joli Rouge Lipstick before and was stoked to receive one! It may be a month away from summer but I’ve been sporting this #744 Soft Plum shade anyway!
I thought I got my skin problems under control, but NO- these days if it isn’t my forehead erupting, it’s my face getting oily and bumpy. As much as I enjoy trolling people with my witty antics, I am also enjoying tricking people that I never have blotchy skin. I’ve tried various makeup products over my years as a blogger and so far I’ve narrowed it down to these favourites.
Sorry I’ve been a bit MIA!! I’ve been feeling under the weather, plus had a small kerfuffle with Expedia for TD regarding my flight to San Diego for Comic Con… and let’s just say I won’t be purchasing flight tickets from them anytime soon.
Needless to say.. stress and lack of sleep have caused my skin to be the crappiest of crap and after coming home I barely want to brush my teeth, let alone wash my face! Seriously…sometimes I end up falling asleep on my bed and haven’t washed my face nor brushed my teeth and end up doing that at 2am. I am always looking for quick ways to cleanse my skin, from makeup wipes to cleansing-toners! And of course, can’t forget about handy dandy micellar water. It all started with Bioderma and now drugstore brands have been producing micellar water solutions too. The latest one I received to try is Garnier SkinActive Micellar Water.
Ahhh kale. I just had a kale salad recently. Honestly, I thought kale was a trendy thing so companies have an excuse to charge $6 for a bag of kale chips, but it really is a healthy superfood. It contains lots of nutrients and is high in Vitamin A and C. Even my parents are all about kale. Having food in skincare is common; Nip + Fab has created a kale range for long lasting hydration.
