I finally got a haircut (which I have posted on Intstagram here!) Taming my hair is such a hassle and there are so many hair products in drugstores and departments stores that seem to cure anything and everything. The got2b All Star MVP Perfecting Cream caught my attention as it meets almost all imaginable hair concerns; it claims to provide 10 styling benefits!
I love a well packaged product, but I also love a well scented product too. It’s like a having a product that does its job while doubling as a perfume. I went through my stash and narrowed down five items, which consists a mix of skincare and makeup, that smell the best in my books.
I seem to never get enough sleep nowadays (not because I’m playing Hearthstone late into the night *ahem*) and my skin loves letting me know by giving me a dull complexion in the morning and the random outbreak of pimples on my forehead. So tell me a product with the word “luminous” and you got my attention, such as the Lise Watier Teint Lumière Luminous Foundation.
Smashbox Be Legendary Lipstick, we meet again. It’s been a while since I’ve blogged my last Be Legendary Lipstick , and I’m feeling the nostalgia. Smashbox was one of my first high end brands; I remember flipping pages of the magazine and saw the Photo Op Under Eye Brightener and wanted to try it out on my puffy and dark undereyes. That product turned out ok for me, but I did like their lipsticks better. I believe the shade I have, Mauve Matte, is part of the Smashbox + Donald Robertson : Be Legendary Matte Lipstick collection on Sephora, but the box packaging I got is doesn’t have the same design; maybe because it was a PR sample? (By the way, I actually don’t know who Donald Robertson is, but after a quick google search; he does some pretty interesting and funky prints, stuff I’d put on my wall.)
As much as I love using $30+ oils to moisturize my skin, it’s not going to work out for me in the long run financially. Luckily, drugstore brands are coming out with some really good stuff nowadays, and one of them is the Jergens Shea Beauty Oil, which is what I use every time I get out of the shower now. [Read more…]
