I love going for a registered massage therapy session to loosen up the knots and muscle tightness in my body. I slowly spread my sessions out throughout the year and use my insurance to cover these massages, sparingly. Massages are generally pricey enough that I don’t do them very often, but I was just recently introduced to New Image College (NIC) Spa, located in Downtown Vancouver. Not only do they have massages for $20, but their spa services such as facials, pedicures, manicures, are also $20!! [Read more…]
Recently, I can’t live without dresses with pockets. I notice a HUGE advantage of having pockets over no pockets – can we agree on that?! They’re more efficient than the pockets of skinny jeans and I love putting my phone + lip balm + employee card + credit card in my pocket and going out for lunch. (Denim jackets with inner and exterior pockets are good too. Wearing that with a dress WITH pockets = best.) [Read more…]
So I attended my first music festival ever – marking THAT off my bucket list. Last month, I went to FVDED IN THE PARK, a two day musical festival in Surrey, and I can’t believe it took that many years in my life to finally find my ‘party’ scene. I was never into clubbing or drinking; but listening to EDM, screaming to The Chainsmokers, and being in the densest of crowds seemed to be up my alley. One of the most fun parts about going to a festival though, is deciding what to wear and slabbing on colourful makeup without giving a f*ck in the the world. To celebrate the music festival season, I received a few products from Teeez Cosmetics…let’s see if my finished look is festive enough?
I used to be obsessed with flats until I realized it made my feet become a biohazard in terms of smells. I LOVE sneakers but not as efficient for summer. Recently, I’ve been wearing SOAK sandals and they’re the most convenient things ever – and my mom is planning to steal them from me when she goes on vacation. I wish I had these when I was in Disneyworld; they’re so comfortable and chic (sometimes how fashionable something is…is priority right?!) [Read more…]
Hey everyone. I’m going to be diligent in preparing drafts and posting; I had personal things to look after lately.
Soooooo I’m not done talking about New York (or my vacation back in May – June.) Procrastination is my best friend at the moment, sorry! I stayed in two hotels when I was in New York, as they were both part of The Library Hotel Collection and I received a complimentary night stay (and media rate) at each hotel. I didn’t mind switching hotels to a)cut cost and b) have a different experience which makes travelling even MORE fun. The second hotel I stayed at is The Library Hotel – which is probably a great little home for every avid book reader. I kept snapping pictures to my book-loving coworker.
